On Tuesday morning, Montreal Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes told reporters at the GM meetings that forward Jonathan Drouin will miss a bit of time with an upper-body injury, but didn't elaborate on a specific length of time he could potentially miss.
Following their 5-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils, Canadiens Head Coach Martin St. Louis issued another update on Drouin's status going forward and it's not a good one.
The 27-year-old will miss the next four-to-six weeks with an upper-body injury he suffered during November 5th's 6-4 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Drouin, a native of Sainte-Agathe (Quebec), has skated in 12 games so far this season for Montreal, tallying four assists and is a minus-four. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
L'attaquant Jonathan Drouin ratera de 4 à 6 semaines en raison d'une blessure au haut du corps subie le 5 novembre c. Vegas.
