It hasn't been a great season thus far for Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine, in terms of injuries.
During the first game of the 2022-23 season against Carolina, Laine suffered a sprained elbow that forced him to miss six games. But now, Laine is injured once again.
The Blue Jackets announced on Monday that the 24-year-old will miss the next three-to-four weeks with a sprained ankle. He sustained the injury during Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Islanders.
Laine, a native of Tampere (Finland), has skated in eight games this season, recording four points (two goals, two assists), four penalty minutes and is a minus-four.
