The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced on Sunday afternoon that Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson will have a hearing for boarding Vegas Golden Knight defenceman Alex Pietrangelo.

The incident occurred during the third period of Saturday's game between the two teams at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Anderson skated back through the neutral zone from Vegas' end and he catches Pietrangelo in a vulnerable spot, hits him on the numbers and into the boards.

Anderson was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct on the play, but Montreal ended up on a four-on-three power play due to the two roughing minors handed to Vegas during the scrum.
