As far as pot-stirrers in the NHL go, the Tkachuk brothers both sit second to none. Both of them are insanely well-equipped in the art of mental and physical warfare as it pertains to hockey, but even they generally have a good sense of staying on the right side of the proverbial 'line.'

Tonight, however, Tkachuk may have crossed that line. During Florida's barn-burner 5-4 defeat in Los Angeles on Saturday night, Tkachuk was looking to swat a shot on net and ended up hitting Jonathan Quick in the eye. Quick was fine on the play and finished the game, but between the video review and how close it was, Tkachuk might have some explaining to do:

A second look:

In the dying seconds of the game, Tkachuk and Quick exchanged pleasantries. Clearly, the Kings' netminder was not happy about Tkachuk's antics. Tkachuk was assessed a goaltender interference penalty as well as a misconduct penalty as time ran out. Not that it mattered; the Panthers lose four of their last six and slide to 6-5-1 on the season, just outside the playoff picture.
