Sportico releases annual NHL franchise valuations

Sportico, a company that focuses on the business side of the sporting world, released their annual NHL franchise valuation for all 32 teams and compared to 2021, things are trending in a positive direction.

For the first-time in NHL history, the average value of a franchise has crossed the $1 billion mark, sitting at $1.01 billion USD, which is up 9% from 2021.
All 32 teams saw their value rise from 2021 to now, with the lowest being 3% (Vancouver) and highest rise being 21% (Ottawa).
Let's take a look at the top-10 and the bottom-five on Sportico's list.
Top-10
1. Toronto Maple Leafs - $2.12 billion.
2. New York Rangers - $2.01 billion.
3. Montreal Canadiens - $1.7 billion.
4. Chicago Blackhawks - 1.44 billion.
5. Boston Bruins - $1.41 billion.
6. Los Angeles Kings - $1.39 billion.
7. Philadelphia Flyers - $1.35 billion.
8. Edmonton Oilers - $1.29 billion.
9. Washington Capitals - $1.22 billion.
10. Detroit Red Wings - $1.12 billion.
Bottom-five
28. Buffalo Sabres - $635 million.
29. Carolina Hurricanes - $615 million.
30. Columbus Blue Jackets - $600 million.
31. Florida Panthers - $595 million.
