Earlier this month, Teemu Selanne's son, Eetu, signed a professional try-out contract (PTO) with the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League, but it didn't work out as he was released just over a week later.

Eetu Selanne will now look to play professionally in Finland as he's reportedly signed a contract with Peliitat, who play in the Finnish second division, Mestis.

The 24-year-old spent the first two seasons of his college career playing Division-1 NCAA hockey with Northeastern University, but then made the decision to move down to Division-3 and spent the last three years at Curry College.

In 27 games last season with Curry College, Eetu Selanne put up 15 points (seven goals, eight assists), 35 penalty minutes and was a minus-three.
