The Columbus Blue Jackets are about to get a big boost to their lineup on Tuesday night when they host the Arizona Coyotes.

After being sidelined for the last two weeks, forward Patrik Laine will return to the lineup. Laine suffered an elbow injury on the opening night of the season against Carolina. He left the game and did not return.
Laine's return is earlier than expected, as it was originally indicated that he would be sidelined for three-to-four weeks after he was evaluated.
The Tampere (Finland) native managed to score in the game before suffering the elbow injury. After a tough 2021 season, Laine bounced back last season, being a point-per-game player after having 56 points (26 goals, 30 assists) in 56 games.
Not only is Laine's return good news for the Blue Jackets, it's perfect timing for the 24-year-old as he will now be able to play in his home country late next week. The Blue Jackets and Avalanche will face-off against each other in a pair of games at Nokia Arena in Tampere apart of the NHL's Global Series.
