Josh Mahura among five claimed off waivers on Monday

Sunday's waiver wire was filled with some quality depth players, along with some younger guys who got squeezed out as teams prepare their rosters for the upcoming season.

In total, 64 players were put on the wire yesterday, five were claimed on Monday afternoon and 59 were assigned to their respective American Hockey League teams.
Monday's waiver claims
- Josh Mahura (D) claimed by Florida from Anaheim.
- Connor Ingram (G) claimed by Arizona from Nashville.
- Jarred Tinordi (D) claimed by Chicago from New York R.
- Axel Jonsson-Fjallby (F) claimed by Winnipeg from Washington.
- Brett Leason (F) claimed by Anaheim from Washington.
In addition to those waiver claims, one player was placed on the wire on Monday, that being Glenn Gawdin of the Anaheim Ducks.
Final rosters for each of the 32 teams must be submitted to the National Hockey League for approval ahead of the 5 p.m. deadline on Monday. The new season will get underway on Tuesday with a pair of games, Lightning/Rangers and Golden Knights/Kings.
