After Canada's bronze medal game vs. Czechia, forward Brennan Othmann (NYR) got into a verbal altercation that turned into a light shoving match. Othmann offered a pretty rockstar quote on the affair:

"If you can't play with the big boys, don't come out."

NHL fans, especially Rangers fans, seemed to really enjoy that, and Othmann appears to have risen sharply up New York's prospect list after a gritty yet impressive tournament.

Michal Gut, the Czech forward with whom Othmann had the exchange, took to Twitter, calling out the Rangers' prospect:

"I think, he is big liar, because I told him why he didn't want to go on the ice and doing this after the game.. such liar."

He even added the Pinocchio emoji. Nice touch.

The Everett Silvertip (WHL) forward had a very solid tournament, totaling six points in Czechia's seven matches. Obviously, Gut was not happy that Othmann gained overnight notoriety without putting his account on record. Gut is currently undrafted, but between a strong season in Everett, a solid World Junior tournament, and now squaring off with Othmann on Twitter, he could earn himself some attention from NHL GMs over the coming year.
