The coverage of the Colorado Avalanche players' days with the Cup from the Keeper himself, Phil Pritchard, is one of the great traditions of hockey's offseason. In the annual summer-standstill content-wise, it provides fans a glimpse into the personal lives of players and also documents all the bumps and bruises the Cup endures in a summer with hockey players.

The players of the Colorado Avalanche have brought the Stanley Cup to some pretty special places so far this summer, proving to everyone that 2022 is officially Good Guy Summer. So far this summer, Darcy Kuemper and Ryan Murray visited sick children, Cale Makar brought the Cup to his grandmother, and Jared Bender made an appearance at the Humboldt Broncos annual charity golf tournament.

After his parade in Halifax yesterday, Nathan MacKinnon carried on that mission, visiting the Camp Hill Veterans Hospital near his hometown of Cole Harbour. Good Guy Summer is in full bloom:

Sidney Crosby visited the very same VH in 2016 when the Penguins won their first of back-to-back championships, and where Crosby goes MacKinnon tends to follow. Including winning a Stanley Cup. What a display of humility and respect, spending the day with veterans Stanley Cup in tow.
