Jack Studnicka will be back with the Boston Bruins next season. The 23-year-old Windsor, Ont. native has signed a two-year deal with Boston with a cap hit of $762,500. It's a two-way deal in the first year, but moves to a one-way deal in year two, meaning Studnicka will get his salary whether he plays in the NHL or AHL.

Studnicka, a second-round draft pick (52rd overall) in 2017, has played 37 games in the NHL so far, with one goal and six assists to show for it. His numbers with Providence of the AHL are considerably better, with 10 goals and 25 assists in 41 games last season. The Bruins are hoping Studnicka is ready to take the next step, and he has two seasons to show he can get a more regular role in Boston before having to worry about his next contract.
