In retirement, Sean Avery has found a career in acting, having starred in Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet.' He had a minor role, but nevertheless good to see him finding work after hockey. Another passion of his is defending NYC bike lanes from the oppression of car/truck drivers who wrongfully impede said lane. He's become quite famous for his work in that regard, arguably more so than his role in 'Tenet.'

After an incident in NYC, he appeared in court for bashing a car (in the bike lane) with a scooter. After appealing to the judge to face a jury of his peers, he answered to a bench jury consisting only of Judge Marisol Martinez-Alonso. Avery was found guilty of criminal mischief & sentenced to time served, per the New York Post.

He was reportedly seen smiling leaving the courthouse, as he likely felt a sense of victory for fighting the good fight. Love him or hate him, this guy is a content factory.
