It didn't take the New York Rangers long to get into Game 7. The Blueshirts scored two early power play goals to get themselves off to a great start! The first came off the stick of Norris defenseman Adam Fox.

Jacob Trouba delivered a massive hit on Canes' rookie Seth Jarvis. Jarvis crawled back to the bench, and looked incredibly disoriented.

Chris Kreider scored a redirection goal off a slap pass from Mika Zibanejad.

The Rangers' great first period continued with Igor Shesterkin looking confident and robbing Teuvo Teravainen.

Just as momentum started to swing the Hurricanes' favor in the second period, they received a devastating blow. Netminder Antti Raanta sustained a lower-body injury when lunging to make a save.

Ryan Strome scored on the Rangers' second shot on replacement netminder Pyotr Kochetkov.

The third period started off with more of the Rangers. Kreider scored his second of the night on the backhand.

The Hurricanes attempted one last ditch effort at a comeback on a goal from Tony DeAngelo.

Filip Chytil took any remaining energy out of the building with a goal just moments later to put his team up 5-1.

Max Domi added another goal for the Canes on a rebound.

Andrew Copp added the empty net goal to ice the deal in Game 7, 6-2.

Shesterkin had another all-time performance for the Rangers. He had 36 saves on 38 shots for a .947 save percentage. He has been the linchpin for New York all season and this continues in the playoffs.

The Rangers became the only away team to win in Raleigh this post season. They win Game 7 and will head to the Eastern Conference Finals against the two-time defending champs Tampa Bay Lightning.
