According to CapFriendly, the St. Louis Blues have placed defenceman Calle Rosen on waivers on Saturday afternoon.

Rosen, 28, spent the majority of the 2021-22 season in the AHL with Springfield, tallying 28 points (four goals, 24 assists) in 40 games. He also appeared in eighteen regular season games and nine playoff games for the big club in St. Louis. In eighteen regular season games, Rosen put up seven points (two goals, five assist), but had no points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Should Rosen clear waivers on Sunday, he will be eligible to play in the American Hockey League playoffs for the Springfield Thunderbirds. Currently, the Thunderbirds are up 2-0 in their best-of-five series against the Charlotte Checkers. If Springfield defeats Charlotte in Game 3 tonight, they will advance to the Eastern Conference Final where they will face the Laval Rocket.

The Vaxjo (Sweden) native signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Blues last summer and will become an unrestricted free agent on July 13th.
