The second featured back & forth action, with scoring chances coming in bunches. The Maple Leafs would tie the game off of Morgan Reilly one-timer, and just moments later William Nylander scored a beauty from Tavares to take the lead.
When the Lightning tied it up on a Ryan McDonagh laser beam, the building tensed up. It was palpable. It was obvious that the place would erupt one way or another after the next goal was scored. Thankfully for Toronto Maple Leaf fans, the right team potted the next one.
Toronto needed their big guns to show up big today, and every single one of them did. Which is huge for the city & huge for the team. Game 6 in Tampa on Thursday, 3-2 Toronto.
