37-year-old Marc-Andre Fleury will be a free agent at the end of this season. Given his age and the fact that he has little left to prove (three Stanley Cups, multiple All-Star appearances, Vezina and William M. Jennings trophy winner, etc.), many have speculated they he may retire once the 2021-22 season is done. They are wrong.

"I would like to play at least another season. I decided that recently," Fleury told LaPresse in advance of a game at the Bell Centre in Montreal Tuesday.

"I still like to play, I still have fun, the body still holdsmost of the time," he added with a laugh.

As for where he'd like to play next season, Fleury isn't sure. But, he says he's having a lot of fun in Minnesota.

"It's fun to be part of a good team with a good gang of guys. Cam [Talbot] is a super good person, he's a good goalkeeper, we get along well together. It makes things simpler. I think together, the two of us, we should play [in the playoffs]. We will do our best to help this team," he said.

If Fleury is willing to play, he'll have no issue getting offers. They likely won't be at the $7 million he's currently getting, but I doubt that bothers him much. For now, fans of arguably the most beloved player in the NHL will be happy to know that he isn't ready to hang up his pads just yet.

For anyone wondering, the Wild have confirmed that Talbot will be getting the start in net against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.
