The Montreal Canadiens announced on Thursday that they've agreed to terms on a one-year, entry-level contract worth $750,000 with 24-year-old forward Lucas Condotta. The contract is for the 2022-23 season.

Condotta, a native of Georgetown (Ontario), has spent the last four years in the NCAA with UMass-Lowell, and was the captain during the 2021-22 season. In 33 games this season, he put up 23 points (ten goals, thirteen assists), 25 penalty minutes, and was a plus-four.

He's expected to sign a professional try-out contract (PTO) with the Laval Rocket in the coming days and will join them for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign and help bolster their roster for a potential lengthy playoff run.
