Arizona Coyotes forward Clayton Keller was involved in a dangerous incident during Wednesday night's game against the San Jose Sharks. Keller went to take the puck to the net when he loses his balance and crashes hard into the boards.

Keller was stretchered off and taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and on Thursday afternoon, the Coyotes gave an update on their star forward.

"INJURY UPDATE: Coyotes forward Clayton Keller underwent successful surgery last night to repair a fractured leg. Keller is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery. He will be out 4-6 months." The Coyotes said.

The 23-year-old was having a solid season before the injury and was nearly a point-per-game player. In 67 games, he put up 63 points (28 goals, 35 assists), 28 penalty minutes, and was a plus-three. Keller was two points away from tying his career-high in points he set back during the 2017-18 season, his rookie campaign.

We'd like to wish Clayton a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the ice as soon as he is able to.
