Coyotes' Clayton Keller leaves arena on stretcher after terrible collision with the boards (w/video)

Some very scary moments from Wednesday night's game between the Arizona Coyotes and San Jose Sharks. With just over five minutes to go in the third period, Yotes forward Clayton Keller lost his footing while chasing the puck and went into the end boards hard and in a very awkward way. Here's video of the fall into the boards. You can find full video of the fall and aftermath at the end of this article.

Keller as clearly in a lot of pain, but as mentioned above did manage to give the thumbs up symbol before he was carried off the ice on a stretcher. He was transported to hospital for further evaluation. Following the game, Arizona provided an update saying Keller suffered a leg injury. According to head coach André Tourigny: "We know it will be long-term but he will recover."

Keller was just two points away from tying his career high when the injury happened. He has 28 goals and 63 points in 67 games in 2021-22.
