Former Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban will be matching donations up to $100,000 for young Ukrainian cancer patients who will soon be arriving in Montreal for «life-saving treatment.»

Subban, who spent the first six seasons of his career as a Hab, pledged $10 millions to the Montreal Children's Hospital back in 2015. Despite no longer being in Montreal, the 32-year-old still has many ties to the city, and often gives back in ways like this whenever he is able.

The Montreal Children's Hospital says that any donations given right now for these young Ukrainian cancer patients will help pay for accommodation, travel to and from the hospital, meals, medication, psychological support and translation services.
