The Colorado Avalanche have made a second trade in as many days. According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Avalanche have traded centerman Tyson Jost to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for centerman Nico Sturm.

Jost, 24, was selected by the Avalanche with the tenth overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. His time in Colorado didn't go as many expected, leaving the NCAA after one year may have hindered his development.

In 59 games this season, the St. Albert (Alberta) native has fourteen points (six goals, eight assists), thirty penalty minutes, and is a plus-one.

Sturm, a native of Augsburg (Germany), has spent parts of the last four years with the Wild after signing with them out of college in 2019. In 53 games this season, the 26-year-old has seventeen points (nine goals, eight assists), eight penalty minutes, and is a minus-five.
