According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Florida Panthers have placed defenceman Petteri Lindbohm on waivers on Monday. This means that the Panthers have signed the 28-year-old free agent, who spent the 2021-22 season with Jokerit Helsinki in the KHL.

In 45 games with Jokerit, Lindbohm put up eight points (three goals, five assists), 28 penalty minutes and was a minus-two.

The Helsinki native also played for Finland at the 2022 Winter Olympics earlier this month. In six games in Beijing, Lindbohm had two assists, two penalty minutes and was a plus-three, helping Finland win their first-ever Olympic gold medal.

In other waivers news, the Edmonton Oilers put forward Brendan Perlini on the wire. In 23 games this season, Perlini has tallied five points (four goals, one assist), six penalty minutes and is a minus-two.
