The Nashville Predators announced on Tuesday night that they've agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension (for the 2022-23 season) worth $900,000 with defenceman Mark Borowiecki.

Borowiecki, 32, was signed by the Nashville Predators as an unrestricted free agent in October 2020 following ten years in the Ottawa Senators organization.

Since his arrival in Nashville, Borowiecki has played a crucial defensive role on the blueline and off the ice he serves as the Predators' "Hockey Is For Everyone" ambassador. He also helps out with local LGBT charities in the Nashville area and supports Canadian military members through the Soldier On program.

In thirty-nine games this season, the Ottawa (Ontario) native has two assists, 103 penalty minutes and is a plus-two.
