The Vegas Golden Knights will have Jack Eichel in their lineup for the first time on Wednesday night when they face the Colorado Avalanche. In order to make room on the active roster and for cap reasons, captain Mark Stone was placed on long-term injured reserve with a back injury as general manager Kelly McCrimmon announced yesterday.

Now, the Golden Knights have made another move in order to fit Eichel onto their active roster. According to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports, Vegas has placed forward Adam Brooks on waivers.

The 25-year-old started the season with the Montreal Canadiens after being claimed off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs. About a month after the Canadiens claiming him, he was put on waivers once again and picked up by the Vegas Golden Knights. In eleven games this season between Montreal and Vegas, Brooks has three points (two goals, one assist), two penalty minutes and is a plus-two.

Vegas will begin the Jack Eichel-era tomorrow night against Colorado, with puck drop set for 10 p.m. ET on TNT.
