After Martin St. Louis was appointed interim head coach of the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday, there were plenty of mixed feelings from fans and journalists across the NHL.

Former The Hockey News and current freelance feature writer Ken Campbell was not a fan of the decision at all, to say the very least. Campbell went to Twitter to bash the Canadiens decision to hire St. Louis.

"If Martin St. Louis is indeed hired as the next coach of the Montreal Canadiens, the big question is who is going to take over as assistant with the Mid Fairfield U13 team? If this happens, the Habs will have literally hired a peewee coach. A peewee coach."

This seems completely unfair to say, as St. Louis has plenty of hockey experience and is a Hall of Famer. It's not a good look for Campbell to undermine a former player of St. Louis' level. Although it is a tremendous jump from Peewee hockey to the NHL, St. Louis has the experience and knowledge that gives him the potential to be a great coach in the NHL.
