During his press conference ahead of this weekend's All-Star festivities, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman unveiled next season's key events including a return of the Global Series games in Europe.

Teams are still to be determined, but the NHL will be playing games in Czechia, Finland, Germany and Switzerland in the fall. It will be the first time the NHL has played games abroad since 2019 when they held five games in Czechia, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland.

Bettman also announced details for the 2023 Winter Classic and Stadium Series. The 2023 Winter Classic will be hosted by the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. Fenway Park has hosted the Winter Classic once before, in 2010, when the Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime.

As for the 2023 Stadium Series, it will be hosted by the Carolina Hurricanes at Carter-Finley Stadium. The Hurricanes were originally supposed to host the game in 2021, but due to COVID-19, it was forced to be rescheduled.

Another causality of COVID-19 was the 2021 All-Star Game in Sunrise, Florida, but Gary Bettman promised the Panthers that they will host it in the near future, and that will come to fruition in 2023 on the weekend of February 3rd-4th.

One final note from Bettman's press conference. The Montreal Canadiens are set to host the 2022 NHL Entry Draft at the Bell Centre in July. If COVID restrictions are somehow still in place in the province of Quebec by then, the NHL will likely have to move the draft to another location.
