After the Minnesota Wild's 5-0 shutout win versus the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night, NHL on TNT analyst Anson Carter took a shot at both the team and their insider Michael Russo.

Carter went to Twitter to post a tweet about something that he obviously did not have enough knowledge about.

«These Minnesota Wild fans (& reporters) talking about their depth after beating an awful Chicago Blackhawks team. Where were y'all after the Winter Classic beat down missing Ek, Brodin, and Spurgeon??? How was that depth treating ya? Injuries happen, can they overcome them? We'll see!»

The Wild are 9-0-1 in their past ten games, and have won games while missing as many as eight or nine starters including some of the names that Carter mentioned. Russo wasn't going to sit and take the heat, as he clapped back at Carter on Twitter.

«I have great respect for you, but since this was a shot at me, the Minnesota Wild went 9-0-1 since that winter classic, some nights without eight and nine guys, including the same three you mention. You watch them once a month. I'd trust the fans & reporter you're laughing at who watch them regularly.»

Update: ANSON CARTER BLASTS MINNESOTA REPORTER ON-AIR AFTER THE TWO EXCHANGE WORDS ON SOCIAL MEDIA (W/VIDEO)

It seems pretty obvious that Carter realizes it was probably not a good idea to call out a respected reporter like Russo, as he is yet to reply to the tweet and likely will not.
