If you haven't heard yet, the Buffalo Sabres are facing a severe goalie shortage. Recently signed netminder Michael Houser, who was given an NHL contract because Buffalo was already short on goalies, was placed in COVID protocol Friday. With no idea how long he'll be there, here's how the Sabres current goalie depth chart looks:

Craig Anderson - UBI (Day-to-day)
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen - LBI (week-to-week)
Malcolm Subban - UBI (Out for season)
Dustin Tokarski - COVID-19
Aaron Dell - Suspended
Michael Houser - COVID Protocol

Buffalo has two games this weekend, one against the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday and another in Colorado on Sunday. Anderson and Tokarski were at practice today, but there's no word on if they can actually play. With that in mind, former goaltender Roberto Luongo believes he could be part of the solution.

Luongo hasn't played since the 2018-19 season, and currently works in the Florida Panthers front office. It would be pretty cool to see him back, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
