It doesn't look like Canadiens newly-hired General Manager Kent Hughes wants to wait very long before bringing in some new staff for the front office. One person he reportedly wants to hire is his former client, Vincent Lecavalier according to La Presse.

"According to information obtained by La Presse , Vincent Lecavalier is among the names Hughes wants to bring on board in his new administration. The former Tampa Bay Lightning superstar was one of Kent Hughes' most notable clients as an agent, totaling more than $114 million in salary, according to CapFriendly figures," La Presse's Guillaume Lefrancois.

It may not be a big role for Lecavailer though, as the former NHLer wants to remain with his family in Tampa Bay. If he does get hired by the Canadiens, it could be in an advisory role, or possibly a role on the player development side of things.

Lefrancois added, "If Lecavalier joined the Canadiens, however, it would not necessarily be in a major role, since the former forward is based in Tampa and would like to stay there. Lecavalier and his spouse are parents of three young children between the ages of 8 and 11, and he devotes a good part of his energies to his family."

Lecavalier, 41, spent 17-years in the National Hockey League with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers and Los Angeles Kings. In 1,212 career regular season games, the Ile-Bizard, Quebec native had 949 points (421 G, 528 A), winning the Rocket Richard Trophy in 2006-07. He also helped the Lightning win their first Stanley Cup in 2004.
