Last Thursday, Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jakub Voracek hit the elusive 1000th game mark for his career. When the Blue Jackets returned home two days later, they honoured the 32-year-old by giving him a silver stick as well as some messages from current and past teammates.

One of his former teammates, Jaromir Jagr, who only spent one season playing with Voracek, had a funny and witty message for his fellow countryman.

"Jake, what's up? I have great news for you, today, you're going to play your one-thousandth game in the NHL, that's unbelievable. But also, I have for you some bad news. If you want to really catch me, you need to play 700 more. Good luck," Jagr said.

Jagr and Voracek were teammates with the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2011-12 season, a year that saw them advance to the second round of the playoffs after finishing fifth in the Eastern Conference standings.
