The Edmonton Oilers went from being the top team in the Pacific Division, before sliding down the standings to fourth in the division with an 18-11-0 record. The team is only 4-6-0 in their last ten games, and McDavid and Co. have been struggling a bit more than they would like to be. If the playoffs started today, they would barley be in, currently holding the second wild card spot in the Western Conference. So, the question is whether or not a trade should happen for the Oilers to get back on track.

Oilers general manager Ken Holland believes that a trade would likely not do as much as fans would hope it would, and rather, it needs to come from within the team.

"The answer has to be in your locker room. I can go out and get one player ... but the solution has to be in your locker room,» Holland explained.

The Oilers have been rumored to be interested in a couple of players including Phil Kessel, Jakob Chychrun, and possibly even Evander Kane. The Oilers definitely have the star power to make a run, but it is probably going to come down to whether or not the team can find the right gelling and chemistry to get the team rolling as efficiently as possible.
