Some sad news to report from the hockey world on Monday. Former New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, and Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Curt Ridley has passed away at the age of 70.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was originally a second round pick of the Boston Bruins in the 1972 NHL Draft. Ridley played most of his career in the minors, but spent parts of six seasons in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

In 104 career games, Ridley had a record of 27-47-16, with a 3.88 G.A.A., an .810 save percentage, and one shutout.

Our thoughts are with the Ridley family at this tough time.
