Three NHL teams shut down until after Christmas

With rising numbers of COVID cases, the NHL has decided to shut down three teams for the next few days in order to get things under control. According tothe NHL, the Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames have had games suspended until at least December 27th.

The Nashville Predators are also dealing with an outbreak, although there's been nothing said yet about a possible temporary shutdown. It was also announced earlier today that both John Tavares and Alex Kerfoot of the Toronto Maple Leafs had been added to COVID protocol.

Meanwhile, Sportsnet's Randip Janda said that's he's hearing the Vancouver Canucks will be limited to 50 percent capacity at Rogers Arena from December 20th until the end of January. An official announcement is expected later Friday.
