According to Chris Johnston of TSN, the Colorado Avalanche have placed goaltender Jonas Johansson on waivers.

Johansson, 26, has appeared in nine games this season due to an injury to Pavel Francouz, who's been on injured reserve since the start of the 2021-22 season due to an ankle injury. In those nine games, Johansson has a record of 3-2-1 with a 3.73 G.A.A., and an .885 save percentage.

The news of Johansson being put on the waiver wire comes just a couple hours after Pavel Francouz was called up by the Avs. Nearly two weeks ago, the Avalanche sent Francouz down to their AHL affiliate, the Colorado Eagles for a conditioning stint. In his four games with the Eagles, Francouz has a record of 3-1-0 with a 1.52 G.A.A., .945 save percentage and one shutout.

In addition to the goaltending news, Colorado Avalanche head coach head coach Jared Bednar announced this morning that captain Gabriel Landeskog will be out for the next two weeks with a lower-body injury.
