San Jose Sharks goaltender James Reimer held the visiting Dallas Stars to just 1 goal, securing a 2-1 win and picking up two big points for the Sharks on Saturday night, but he couldn't take full credit.

Reimer felt the need to credit 4 fans after the game for helping the Sharks secure the win. The 33-year-old shared the story with the media during his post-game availability.

During the second period, as the officials were reviewing Erik Karlsson's goal, which turned out to be the eventual game-winner, a group of fans did everything they could to try to get Reimer's attention so they could point something out to the netminder on a milestone night, as he was playing his 400th career NHL game.

"When they were reviewing the goal, I heard four fans banging on the glass," Reimer said following the big win. "Usually I don't pay attention because they're just trying to get in my head usually. They kept banging on the ice. They were adamant, pointing at the ice.

"One of my straps had come off," Reimer revealed. "It was flopping on the ground and broken. Part of the win tonight goes to those four fans."

Reimer is enjoying a sensational year, having posted a 9-4-1 record across his 15 appearances for the Sharks thus far, boasting a 2.03 GAA and a sparkling .937 save percentage, which ties him for the league lead in that category with New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin.
