It seems P.K. Subban's preference for slewfooting has even been noticed by his teammates. In a now deleted comment, New Jersey Devils goaltender MacKenzie Blackwood called Subban a controversial nickname on Instagram.

Subban was commenting on a post of the New Jersey Devils new "Jersey" jerseys. Blackwood replied to his comment with "Slewban." Check it out:

Whether Subban said something to Blackwood, the team asked him to remove it or Blackwood simply had second thoughts after posting it isn't known. Either way, the comment is now deleted.

Subban has earned a reputation for slewfooting after being fined by the league following three slewfoots earlier this season. Subban told former NHL referee Tim Peel that none of the dangerous trips were on purpose and the move seemed to have found its way into his game somehow and he's been working on removing it.
