During Thursday's game against Farjestad BK in the Swedish Hockey League, Timra IK forward and Ottawa Senators prospect Viktor Lodin nearly scored the Goal of the Year, showing off his impressive hands during the play.

The play occurred during the first period of Thursday's game. Farjestad BK was trying to break out of their own zone, when Lodin stripped one of their players of the puck.

Lodin then tried to toe drag around the defender, but instead flipped the puck up in the air, and retrieved it along the boards in Farjestad BK's zone. Two players try to take the puck off Lodin, who then spins between the two and cuts in on net. Lodin fakes out the goal, and goes to tuck it in on the far side but he misses.

Farjestad BK would go on to win the game by a score of 4-1, with Lodin scoring the only goal for Timra IK.

The 22-year-old was selected in the fourth round, 94th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Lodin signed his three-year entry-level contract with Ottawa on June 1st, 2021, but was loaned by the team to Timra IK for the 2021-22 season.

Following the signing, Senators general manager Pierre Dorion said, "Viktor gained significant professional experience by playing an integral role in Timra's championship win last season. A bit of a late bloomer in that he was drafted as a 19-year-old, he's a big forward who can play either centre or wing and possesses high-end skill with a raw ability to score."

In fifteen games this season, the Leksand, Sweden native has twelve points (four goals, eight assists), twenty-nine penalty minutes, and is a minus-four.
