Frustration is setting in for the Montreal Canadiens and it's starting to show on the ice. With the New York Rangers leading 3-2 with just under 30 seconds left in Tuesday night's game, you'd think the focus would be on getting the goalie out and attempting to tie with game with the extra skater. Instead, the Habs' Brendan Gallagher decided to engage with Barclay Goodrow, which ended with Gallagher sucker punching him, getting tossed from the game, and giving the Rangers a powerplay to seal the win.

Habs' fans likely want to see Gallagher agitating the other team and mixing things up, but it's difficult to see this as anything other than a poorly-timed decision that essentially put the final nail in the coffin for the Habs. Did Goodrow sell it? No question, but not any more than any other player would in that situation. It was an easy call for the officials to make.

Meanwhile, as the final buzzer sounded, Montreal's Josh Anderson and New York's Jacob Trouba really got into it, throwing some hard and wild punches at each other. Both would have fighting majors on the scoresheet, although it didn't matter much at that point.
