Former AHL coach Clark Donatelli is being indicted in Rhode Island on four counts of sexual assault, as first reported by Katie Strang of The Athletic.

Donatelli, 55, was arraigned on Nov. 10 and pleaded not guilty. The indictment was issued on July 26 and a warrant for his arrest was filed the next day. These charges stem from an incident back in November of 2018 involving Erin Skalde, who is married to a former assistant coach of Donatelli's, Jarrod Skalde. The charges include forceful touching of the breast and vagina.

Last week, a settlement between the Pittsburgh Penguins, who's AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins was where Donatelli was coaching at the time, reached a settlement with Erin and Jarrod Skalde based on these sexual assault allegations.

Donatelli had most recently been coaching in Germany, but was relieved of his duties on Sept. 23 as a result of these allegations. Expect to hear more on this situation moving forward.
