After having surgery to fix a torn labrum in his hip back in July, free agent goaltender Tuukka Rask returned to the ice this week at the Boston Bruins practice facility.

The 34-year-old became an unrestricted free agent on July 28th, and said to reporters that if he is to resume his NHL career following his surgery, it would only be with the Boston Bruins.

An NHL return is still likely months away, and he will get there, but it's unclear as to when he'll put pen to paper with the Bruins. Despite that, there is one major event that Rask may have his sights set on, the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

While on The Jeff Marek Show, insider Chris Johnston mentioned that the Finnish Ice Hockey Association is considering Tuukka Rask for the 2022 Winter Olympics, which are set to begin in three months.

Johnston said, "He's starting to work his way back to what looks like an NHL return, I can tell you some of his former Bruins teammates think that's what he's ramping up for even the Finnish Olympic team is considering him for their plans"

Rask, a native of Savonlinna, Finland, has represented his country in one Olympic Games back in 2014. He had a 3-1 record with a 1.73 G.A.A., a .937 save percentage, and one shutout, backstopping Finland to their second straight bronze medal.
