Winnipeg Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff is set to meet with the commissioner of the NHL Gary Bettman on Friday, to discuss his role with the Chicago Blackhawks during the Stanley Cup run in 2010. This run included the mishandling of allegations against former video coach Brad Aldrich, who was claimed to have sexually assaulted a player during this time.

Cheveldayoff was originally supposed to meet with Bettman on Monday, but the Jets requested that the meeting get moved up. At the time of the incident, Cheveldayoff was the assistant general manager of the Blackhawks. It was revealed in an investigation by law firm Jenner & Block that the executives of the organization ignored the allegations after a May 23, 2010 meeting took place.

Late Thursday night, it was announced that Joel Quenneville, who was the coach of the Blackhawks in 2010, had resigned from his role as coach of the Florida Panthers after his meeting with Bettman.
