Following what must have been a very emotional and exhausting 24 hours for Kyle Beach, the 31-year-old has released a statement on his social media accounts. Beach, who revealed himself as "John Doe 1" in the lawsuit filed against the Chicago Blackhawks for sexual assault in an interview with TSN Wednesday night, said he's very grateful for the support he's received.

"I have immense gratitude for the outpouring of endless love and support that has come through in the last 48 hours," said Beach.

However, Beach insisted his fight is far from over.

"Although the results of the private investigation have been released, and the Blackhawks have apologized, my battle is really just beginning as the Blackhawks continue to attempt to destroy my case in court," said Beach.

There were rumblings that Chicago would settle out of court with Beach after the findings of the independent investigation essentially laid the blame for everything that happened on the team. However, it's been reported that lawyers for the Blackhawks have asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit entirely.

"While I take this time to reflect and continue the healing process, it is a reminder that this is not about me as an individual," Beach continued in his statement. "This is to promote open communication that will facilitate change for the future - to promote safety, as well as the health and wellbeing of society as a whole."

Beach has been supported in his actions by many former and current NHLers. However, members of the current Blackhawks who were with the team in 2010 continue to say they were not aware of the allegations until the lawsuit was filed.
