We're only into the preseason yet when it comes to NHL games, but we already have our first hearing with NHL PLayer Safety. DoPS has announced that Dylan McIlrath of the Washington Capitals will have a hearing Monday and will likely be suspended for an "illegal check to the head" of Steven Fogarty of the Boston Bruins on Sunday. Here's the hit:

McIlrath was tossed from the game for the hit. Fogarty left and did not return.

McIlrath does not have a history of suspensions in the NHL. He was suspended twice in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and once in the AHL.

Ridly Greig of the Ottawa Senators will also have a hearing with Player Safety Monday.
