The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) has announced a preseason game that was supposed to take place Sunday has been postponed. However, the league is not saying why.

"The Ontario Hockey League today announced that the exhibition game scheduled to be played this afternoon, Sunday September 12, 2021, between the Guelph Storm and the Mississauga Steelheads has been postponed," said the league in a statement.

"Further details which will provide the date of the rescheduled game will be announced in the coming days."

Of course, everyone's first thought is something COVID related. However, Jeff Marek of Sportsnet said that is not the case.

"Told this does not have anything to do with COVID," Marek said on his Twitter account.

It seems we'll have to wait a bit to find out exactly what's going on.
