This morning the Buffalo Sabres announced that they've re-signed forward Casey Mittelstadt, and now they've locking up another restricted free agent, Henri Jokiharju.

The Sabres have inked the defenceman to a three-year contract worth $7.5 million ($2.5 million AAV), the same term and cap hit given to Mittelstadt earlier on Thursday.

Jokiharju, 22, was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2017 but two years later he was traded to Buffalo in exchange for Alexander Nylander. In 46 games this season, the Oulu, Finland native had 8 points (3 G, 5 A), four penalty minutes, and was a -11.
