Wednesday, July 28th and the opening of free agency is fast approaching and there are certainly some interesting names who are expected to be available - including St. Louis Blues winger Mike Hoffman.

Hoffman and the Blues have talked throughout the summer, with The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta suggesting that the Blues even tendered an offer to the Hoffman camp, which Pagnotta believes was turned down.

The 31-year-old sniper is reportedly hoping to field some offers from teams in free agency and is rumoured to be seeking a multi-year deal at or above $5M per season.

Hoffman is typically a lock for 25 goals or more over the course of a full season and will likely have multiple offers to weigh before deciding whether or not to return to St. Louis next season.
