The NHL draft weekend usually has plenty of trade action and it appears that the first deal of the day has been completed.

According to Elliotte Friedman of Sports, the Philadelphia Flyers have added defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Robert Hagg and multiple draft picks, including the 13th overall pick in tonight's draft, as well as a second round pick in 2023.

The Buffalo Sabres will not retain any of Risto's salary in the deal. He has one season left on his current contract with a cap hit of $5.4 million. He will be an unrestricted free agent when next season ends, if an extension isn't signed before then.
