The Tampa Bay Lightning have several key forwards exposed for the Seattle Kraken to select in Wednesday's Expansion Draft. Among those names available to them are Alex Killorn, Pat Maroon, and one player they've had their eye on, Yanni Gourde.

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the Seattle Kraken are focused in on Yanni Gourde and will possibly select him tonight. Now, will there be a side deal done between Tampa Bay and Seattle? There appears to be conflicting reports on if that may happen with Seravalli saying there's a chance another Tampa Bay player could head to the Pacific Northwest tonight. TSN's Pierre LeBrun said in a tweet that it appears Seattle will just select a player from Tampa Bay and that they have not completed a trade.

"Early word is #SeaKraken were focused in on one player from #GoBolts lot: Yanni Gourde. Not entirely clear how tonight will work. Teams wondering if he's the only Tampa player heading to Seattle? Could change. But sense is Gourde will be a Kraken before night is done," Seravalli said on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

LeBrun said: "Two notes: 1) The Kraken and Lightning have not completed a trade so far. Appears Seattle will simply take a player off TB. Doesn't mean a trade can't come later this summer. 2) The Kraken at this minute haven't submitted their expansion draft picks. Using all the time allowed."

Gourde had a strong 2020-21 season where he had his third-highest point total in his career. In 56 games, he had 36 points (17 G, 15 A), 44 penalty minutes, and was a +10.

Keep an eye on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight, they could be one of the more intriguing teams to watch, especially if a side deal is made.
