The Kraken have officially added their first defenceman in franchise history. According to TSN's Darren Dreger and Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, the Seattle Kraken have agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth $16 million dollars ($4 million AAV) with free agent defenceman Adam Larsson.

Larsson was set to hit the open market on July 28th but was able to speak with the Kraken over the last several days in the team's exclusive negotiating window. Now that the Kraken have a contract in place with Adam Larsson, he will become their selection from the Edmonton Oilers in tonight's NHL Expansion Draft.

The 28-year-old played in all 56 regular season games for the Oilers this season, where he had 10 points (4 G, 6 A), 24 penalty minutes, and was a +2.
