On Tuesday morning, a video leaked from Pike Place Market, one of the special draft pick reveal sites for Wednesday's NHL Expansion Draft in Seattle, appearing to reveal that the Kraken were selecting forward Alexander Kerfoot from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The internet had a field day with the news, but just when things appeared to be calming down for Leafs Nation, the Seattle Kraken, via their official Twitter account, posted on the video leak that they had rehearsed several takes, each time using a different Maple Leaf as the pick.

It had originally appeared as though the Kraken were attempting to cover up the leak, but several hours later, a second video had emerged, this time, as the Kraken stated, featured another name in Toronto. New acquisition Jared McCann.

A few interesting things to note here. First, there was an individual who claimed to have been on the scene, showing a text conversation that alleged that the crew filmed for only one hour and that it was the Kerfoot pick and the Kerfoot pick alone that was being filmed.

Next, the first video clearly takes place during daytime hours, while the second video (which leaked approximately 12 hours or so later) is shot after dark.

Finally, it's odd that the series of events went: leak number one --> Seattle Kraken Twitter post refuting the pick --> leak number two several hours later.

ESPN in conjunction with the NHL and the Seattle Kraken wouldn't really stage a second leak to cover up the first.. would they?

I suppose we'll find out tonight.
